Former Official Lara Croft Rhona Mitra Reprises Role for Reboot Photoshoot

English actress and official live action Lara Croft in 1997, Rhona Mitra, teased fans on Sunday by posting a photo on her Instagram from what we can assume is a photoshoot inspired by the rebooted Tomb Raider franchise - 22 years on since last wearing the boots!


We can see that her outfit closely resembles that of the 2013 game that inspired Hollywood's new film starring Alicia Vikander complete with a quiver full of arrows (and a whip to throw in a bit of Indiana Jones). The mountainous location also fits the lost island of Yamatai.
Over the years, many fans have expressed their wishes for her to play the role in another screen adaption. Perhaps this is just something fun to give back or could there be a new TV series on the horizon? We'll have to wait and see!

    Oh, and "Off to build Life Boats." Be it original or re-booted TR, that is just soooo Lara. :-)
